Blame the writers of The Simpsons.

I swear, when watching episodes after season 10 I sometimes think “DID THE WRITERS WATCH THE FIRST SEASONS OF THE SHOW? [Insert Character] WOULD NEVER DO THAT!!”

It’s just stupid now… Homer is annoying, you feel like punching him in the face instead of feeling like having a beer with him. Lisa has become the microphone for the liberal producers. Bart, like you said, became Stewie. Marge is the most affected character, I’ve seen this gag where she falls because of a bucket over and over and over and over again and it would never happen in  the previous seasons. I don’t remember what episode it is.

I NEVER watch episodes made after season 9.

NEVER. EVER EVER.

The ones I’ve seen were all terrible. And yes, I automatically think of Family Guy when watching the new Simpsons episodes. The imitation is so blatant: all the flashbacks, the quirky jokes…. they work on Family Guy (sometimes) but not on Simpsons.

Futurama is nice. But after season 6, when Leela started behaving like an irresponsible monkey (she used to be the “straight man” of the show) I kinda got disappointed. But it’s still funny.
